The Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) at the University of Texas at Dallas aims to foster unity across diverse cultures. Its mission is to establish a supportive community through university events, philanthropy, and raising awareness of Vietnamese heritage.
At the beginning of every year, each member is sorted into different families with a set of family leaders. They will support, provide guidance, and organize family events throughout the year, helping you create memorable memories! Our goal is to foster a sense of community and build personal connections among various members. This allows our members to create bonds extending beyond a student organization and possibly lasting a lifetime.
At UTD-VSA, we take great pride in offering a wide array of intramural sports that cater to the diverse interests and passions of our students. Our sports program provides an exciting platform for students to engage in friendly competition and build lasting connections with their peers.
Whether you're a fan of volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, frisbee, or any other sport, we have something for you.
VSA is committed to giving back to our community through philanthropy. It is our responsibility as members of society to support causes that make a positive impact. Our ultimate goal is to create lasting change and improve the lives of people in our community.
We work closely with our non-profit organizations to ensure that every dollar is used effectively and efficiently.
In return for sponsoring UTD VSA, local businesses can receive many benefits such as promotions, deals, and others. Throughout the year, fundraisers and events such as officer's meet and greet or family hangouts can be held at these local businesses that sponsor us. Sponsors help us financially as they help pay for large portions of events or hold events for UTD VSA. We are always grateful to all of our sponsors for doing so much for us!
VSA is a cultural organization. From small gatherings at local Vietnamese restaurants, to teaching the Vietnamese language in classroom workshops, to large collaborative events such as Lunar Moon Festival (Tết Trung Thu) and Lunar New Year (Tết Nguyên Đán), VSA always seeks to celebrate and promote the Vietnamese identity and culture throughout the year.
